Almamater

a poem by Bajju

As I walk down the lane
My heart shrinks with a bit of pain

As I see so many kids going to school
The girls they look forward to drool

Enlightened during days when they have the bat ā€˜nā€™ ball
Frightened during their journey to the examination hall

So many things to look forward
Wharton, MIT or Harvard

But then one has lost his world
Every one around him fled

Telling him the worth of his life
Is next best to ending with a knife

But then there comes an angel
Neatly dressed with a wetllok gel

Smiles hugs and tells him
What life is to him

Motivates with a great deal of aggression and affection
Pumps the adrenaline in quick succession

Tells him to make a difference in the world
In every youth and the old

Because ultimately even I am a human
And have a body like every one

He motivates me to move ahead and thrive
I really do feel excited to be alive

He made my life glitter
Truly he is my alma mater

Love you so much…
