Our tiny friends insects and pests
Were always busy eating day and night
And even then they had enough to eat
Say our grandfathers and grandmothers.
Man’s knowledge and research widened
But in selfishness his mind has narrowed.
He wants to have everything for himself.
He downloads tons and tons of chemicals
That kill in crores my defenseless friends.
He sprays the greens, vegetables and fruits
With nauseating chemicals and liquids.
If by mistake we eat, they hurt our throats
And stomach making us suffer for weeks.
Some of our friends die very horribly.
Men pay nothing for the air and sunlight
That God has given to all of us.
They are as much our own as there’s
But men think the yield is all their own.
Can they grow without air and sunlight?
We curse these swindlers-
“The way they mercilessly hurt us
Robbing away what God has given
Without giving us our due share
One day Mother Earth will rob away
All that they so selfishly claim as their own”
