Maa Phaleshu…

a poem by Purushothama Rao R

Maa Phaleshu Kadaachana
(Not wait for the resultant fruits)

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

It is not at all my intention
To draw cudgels against any body
Nor force others
To pass on very sharp knife’s edge

I try to accommodate all feelings
And continue my efforts to contain them in my heart
Whether good or bad
Or say right or wrong

Let the hot pursuits
Go cool and gay
Let the cold shoulders
Get needed warmth

After all we are all human beings
Motioned to more by emotions
I have no idea to hurt others
Or never to receive brickbats

All is well at the end of time
Success or failure it is not the prime
And never it disturbs the soul
Let us strive hard to reach early the goal

Man maketh proposals
Almighty bestows boons on the deserved
*Let us not wait for the result
Our duty is to work work, work please!**
