From dawn to dusk,
I sit at my little desk.
Trying to remember how to dissect rats,
Or memorizing the characteristics of bats.
Sometimes trying to differentiate between Alcohol and Phenol,
Or wishing I were another Cinderella at the ball.
At other times deriving equations of force,
Or finishing my anger on Faraday by banging doors.
Either measuring IQ of kids so good and kind,
Or wishing I could give Allport a piece of my mind.
For whatever I may do at my desk,
I’ve got to sit there from dawn to dusk.
