They were the ones,
Who helped me walk.
They taught me to speak,
Other than just baby talk.
Those gentle hands,
Which held me when I was about to fall.
And dressed me up,
As to do it myself I was too small.
I just had to cry out,
When ever I felt hungry.
And Mama would bring food,
To feed me without getting angry.
While eating my food,
I always used to fuss.
But Mama made my eating time fun,
Which avoided a lot of mess.
I used to crawl onto Papa’s lap,
And sleep there safe.
When needed to wake me up,
He used to gently pat on my face.
Whenever I feel hurt,
Or feel like the world is gonna end,
All I have to do is go to them,
And their valuable advice they would lend.
They are the ones who always stand by me.
They are the ones who always support me.
They taught me the difference,
Between good and bad.
They taught me togetherness,
At all times happy or sad.
They are the ones,
Who taught me to care.
The most wonderful people in my life,
My dearest Parents they are.
