Memories Fond

a poem by Tanushree Nair

The innocent sweet face,
Of a small little child.
Reminds you of your childhood,
And the playground with the slide.
As the shrill childish laughter,
Tickles your ear-drum,
You get reminded of those songs,
You used to so merrily hum.
The naughty, gleaming eyes,
Of a cute little kid.
Reflects your own child-self,
And the pranks, so many, you did.
Noticing the child’s,
Love for nature and games too.
The thoughts of how you were the same,
Quickly pops up in you.
Those were such sweet sweet memories,
With which you still have a bond.
You will never ever forget them,
As they are really ‘Memories that are fond.’
