Latecomer

a poem by Shyamprakash

Stella Maria came in, timeless-
Vigorous wind, upturned all stillness!
Already had stopped-
Heart its beating.
I kicked it hard to wake up
Just to beat-
In resonance-
Dancing taps-
Of her slender legs.
We all, shaken off something!
Wanton eyes were swinging
On her hips in Negro drums wild rhythm
Tried I
A breath, as she passed
Female pungency, her own live.
Her black conjurers
Sowed smiles around
Sprouted as shivering spines.
Stillness torn apart
Dissolved in past air
A far away voice-
Someone preaching-
But, all freed from!
