The divine hand of tranquility touched me.
The stooping palm tree- a teacher dropped
its divine fruit inviting me under its cool shade
to give divine wisdom,
to eat its divine fruit.
The river of stillness sunk deep in my listlessness.
The vast azure sky,
a constant guide, a great oracle,
swept away my long suffered blues.
The silent spot away from the worlds din.
In it I hear divine voices.
The priceless solace drove away my fears
and metropolitan tedium.
One impulse from the green wood
along the bank may teach me more of life,
moral, evil and of good than all sages can.
To my fatigued heart the meanest flower gives thoughts to
lie too deep for tears.
Now I shall start my voyage
on the river of incessant flow of wisdom.
