The seaside resort was about to close
yet a few shops that hadn’t done too well was still open
in the hope of doing a sale or two,
the weather this Sunday sunny
but in November one can expect says to be cranky
restless sea, blustery wind then suddenly
behaving like an early September day.

How wonderfully green
it is very calming not a ripple,
clear as a mirror, I said scanning the sea
“Yes it is,
green is my favourite colour too
it’s absolutely perfect
