When the journey you trudge is perilous,
When the journey is in the state of ominous,
When the life twists and turns scrupulous,
When the good you do turns ambiguous,
When the decisions make you riotous
When the things glide to the way hazardous,
When the neighbours become treacherous,
When the family way falls ridiculous,
When the off-spring takes the route mischievous,
When the thoughts lead to the state dangerous,
When the flesh makes you lecherous,
When the right struggles cause you dolorous,
When the financial position turns ruinous,
When the acts you do are no more religious,
When the other things glide in odoriferous,
Place the journey in the Lord who is magnanimous.
