No solution! Yet.

a poem by Jan Oskar Hansen

I’m not a president
or a statesman, nor
do I wish to be one.
It’s not for me to
condemn people to
poverty and death,
for political gains.
What ever will a
future generation
think (if they find
the recipe for peace)
of us, who voted
callous murderers
into high office.
For like them,
we too are guilty
of inhumanity.
And me? I protest
for all the world,
but travel the same
road as the butchers
of harmony.
