Times

a poem by Gowdhaman M

As earth takes full turn
In a day,
And goes round the sun
In a year,
The moon changes phase
Every night,
The sense of time
Changes with different bodies.

The heart beats
Are changing as one grows,
The biological clock
Of man, Alas!
Stops one day,
Yes, time is sensation of
Movement, the fourth coordinate
Matters to Man
Time is Money.

The wound spring
Relaxes as the
Watch shows the time.

Winding the spring
A must, Going back
In time is only dreamt.
The sand filled
Hour glass once, has
Become a precise quartz clock.
Yes, Time has changed.

The pendulum swings,
The hearts beats,
The earth rotates.
Ding! Dong! Means an hour,
Big Bang! Goes to zero hour.

Space is infinite,
Time is eternal,
Matter is conserved,
Our universe is expanding,
New stars born from nebula,
Life is on earth
Men are mortals.
Some great souls are subtle.
