The Flower

a poem by Vidhya Jayarama Raja

A bud cautiously open forth
The flower quivered,
when a gentle breeze
came across to caress
and feel her youthful skin.
The moon at night
gifted her a pearl.
The pearl the sun usurped
The wind carried its fragrance
Tingled the winged came
Bedded and drunk
Flew buzzing away.
