In her great little world

a poem by Gowdhaman M

Loving, caring
Her way of life
Serving, nursing
In her style.

The aging heart
That engraved
Evergreen impressions
On the growing child.

In words unspoken,
The love conveyed
As infant I understood.

The Mother
The first person
I met,
Left in me
The wrong impression,
‘The world too
would be so nice’.

When I lived in
Her little world
The great kingdom.
I hardly thought of
The days ahead.

Far away to meet
Still close at the heart.
