Silent Love

a poem by Sanal Kumar

A charming beautiful lady
She stood before me like
A newly blossomed flower
Her lips like rosy petals
Her cheek like the bright full moon
A moment spur
I don’t know
What made our eyes meet?
To start our sweet silent love
Stretching as far the night
Some times far
Some times near
We are looking at each other
None could lay in between us
The opposition bar
But alas
Among the sea of faces
We were like way lost ships
Trying to come closer
But separated by obstacles.

Times cruel hands
Only drifted us away
Until we lost sigh of each other?
