Loves Weathered Storms

a poem by Elaine E. Howie

You wrought in me a flourishing flower
Yes your reasons for my love holds magic power
I hustle to provide you with the strength
As you fall victim to my love’s length

Forever you are inside the rain that drops on me
Out of need I suck it up because for you I please?
Yes love I hurt with the pain of lightings bolt
I know that your love will be worth all the poems I’ve written

In hopes to be more intimate with you
I host and purpose this journey of a fool
I say to myself for her I would do anything
And I saughter over to be your angel wings

For I see you as a sun so bright
That it would lay bets on my nights
And suck from me the juices of dew
A honey bee kew and new

I would not allow rest my friend
For floods in my heart for love never, never
End
