My gaze caught,
His dilated pupils,
From a feet apart.
His eyes widened,
The mouth turned into an ‘O’.
A light pink blush,
Appeared on his cheek,
And the world seemed to stoop low,
For our eyes to meet.
Our eyes remained steady,
Sharing a beautiful moment.
The moment to be cherished,
For a day or two.
And just like that,
With a snap of two fingers,
The way a porcelain is,
Being dropped on the floor,
Shattering into a thousand pieces,
Our gazes change direction.
His windswept hair,
The unkempt eyebrows,
And the little stubble growing,
Across his chin,
Are however locked,
Within my eyes,
Until we meet again…
