Dropout

a poem by Shyamprakash

Down there – town’s flow
Evening passes in stumbling rush.
‘A noisy river of bubbles’
She loved as if to me.
I felt but more like flood.
Gloom spreading around us
She smiled: ‘I’ll dive into.’
I didn’t smile- a breath apart.
So, silent she dived into – alone.
One more bubbles, violet?- Indiscernible.
Now I blink at the blue thickens:
Was really one with me?
Weren’t I alone?- No remembrance,
An ecstasied amnesia-
Still shadows spreading over.
Me, jus’ wanna dive
Evanescent love at hesitation,
Frozen moment,- airy heaven!
Then, glide down’n’ flow-
Back to the shade of yellow lamp!
