Bite Size Poems – 1

Wake Up Mom

Wake up, O mom! It’s time. We have to go.
It’s you who wakes me up before God bow.
Trains are coming and going. You’re sleeping.
Each one passing by seems at us staring.
Have I done something wrong? Are you angry?
I’ll be your good child. Feed me. I’m hungry.

Creatures Communion

He had a single hand and his right leg limping,
His dog was the same kind; they begged for a living.
Of the food they received, both shared as true workers;
In the cold well cuddled, they slept wrapped as brothers.
