My Party

a poem by Nandita Pai

Last year I had my b’day party,
There were so many children as many as thirty.
We had games such as Tambola,
And to cool of we had some cola.
My b’day cake was in the shape of a Tulip flower,
In a yummy, creamy chocolate flavour.
The presents I got were innumerable,
Among which a gold ring was the most valuable.
My b’day dress, oh! A lovely pale pink gown,
I actually looked like a princess, except for a crown!!
That day! Was a really lovely one,
A day filled with laughter and fun.
