Cosmic Tour

a poem by Ramesh Narasimhan

Hop, hop, here and there;
Stop, stop, nowhere.
My nature is constant motion;
To go where lies devotion.
Here’s a planet, there’s a sun;
Scattered cosmically, but one;
Uniting all is my love;
You can find the thread now.

Touring against tight schedules;
Reminding you of cosmic rules;
That’s My work, now and then;
A diversion from being in Heaven.
When wicked souls harm humanity;
I come running to establish piety.

From up here, I see trouble looming;
And come overnight, as a rose blooming.
When I halt, my entourage comes too;
With work allocated in renewing you;
More often than not, I work incognito;
In good souls, alas they’re few.
When My job’s over, I quietly leave;
To return, if in Me you believe.
