Great Friends

a poem by Shah Pravinchandra Kasturchand

You gave me four apples
For sharing Exactly Equally
Between the two couples;
No more and no less to any.

I examined every apple unit;
Each one different in weight.
Each one in colour different;
Each unequal measurement.
One was raw; one was ripe;
One this kind;one that type.

Now I looked at two couples.
The result was very horrible.
Two of them were females.
And two of them were males.
Two were wearing trousers;
And two were wearing skirts.

Now tell me what I should do
Each one to get exactly equal?
Monkey advised me how to deal;
‘Eat all apples; for sharing ‘nil’.
Man, monkey are best friends.
Man follows monkey’s trends.
