Befriend a Brave

a poem by Shah Pravinchandra Kasturchand

Sun ray once decided
To split from bright;
Called me for advice
If it was real right.

I mulled very seriously,
And felt to meet night;
I met it very silently,
In a dream with delight.

I am coward, I do admit,
Said night in my dream;
Am afraid of suns might
So I hide me in the dim.

I faced the mighty sun;
Tell him not scare ray;
Ray called it was fun
And asked me, I go away.

I learnt a good lesson
To befriend never a ray;
Must you go? Go with sun.
Ray may say, you go away.
