It wasn’t too long ago
I heard these words
Three silken wonderful words
Words with the power to demand
I succumbed to those mighty words

Then she left.
The world reeled under me
My heart surrounded by an abyss
I shunned all practicalities
Encompassed by my lonely spirit

Then she came.
It wasn’t the same she
But, it was her for sure
As long as she stays
I can safely leave the rest behind.
