In the moonlight of the night,
I walked by the shore;
with not a creature in sight,
I felt I had no companion anymore.
The roar of the sea,
sent a chill down my spine;
only making me realise:
in times of distress, no one was mine.
I gazed up at the sky,
and said,’oh god’ if this is what is loneliness;
and gave out a loud cry,
stopping to see the moon accompanying me
with all its joy and brightness.
In the sky, standing all alone,
the moon, to me had shown;
that my never failing friend I had found,
into the moonlight of the night!
