One Corner

a poem by Sidharth Kumar

I see her here, I see her there
And wherever she would be everywhere
Her sight became omnipresent
When my heart gave its consent
My eyes noticing her from one corner

Because I love her so much
Like the tulips of the dutch
All the worlds admiring her
With beauty and brains on her shoulder
My eyes noticing her from one corner

Sleepless nights in this odyssey
Miss I think I need your privacy
Can’t cut your memories like an editor
Don’t wanna be a lifelong spectator
My eyes noticing her from one corner

My hands reach out for you
Thinking we would be the two
But stop looking at my tattered jeans
Its up to you now to spill the beans
My eyes noticing her from one corner

I blame my destiny
After all it doesn’t fetch me any serendipity
Just wanna cajole my senses
You will not find in me any pretenses
My eyes noticing her from one corner
