Gossamer Threads

a poem by Siddharth Sanyal

We’re not bound by chains
nor trapped in a web
yet tied with gossamer threads
lighter than falling feather.

It’s our soul that do wander
from hither to yonder
seeking that elusive bond
that would make us stronger.br>

Transporting us to the vale
where the moon’s forever pale
and music is the wind
soft as down, the heather.

Let the silken threads remain
no time spent in vain
our souls prop’t by time
seeking warmth together.
