I saw a dawn
Today, in the afternoon
It slowly eased
Itself
Into each pore
Before realization
Set in
Unshackled ecstasy
Basking in the sunshine of words
I had thought
Were only mirages
In my mind!
I opened my eyes
To the bright glittering
Sunshine
And smiled
For what was before me
Had always been!
If only my eyes
Were open!
And then the voice
Whispered to me
Not to procrastinate
But to celebrate
This
Joy
As specially
As I could
And so this pen
And this paper
And these words
All blend
In my celebration
And we all
Rejoiced
For today
My heart
Came home
To me!
