The Diamond of My Life

a poem by Sangeetha Mohan

A forever diamond you know is a stone, known and seen by everyone – But
I have felt every aspect of the diamond like this,

I lacked love and stood before him – He bestowed on me,
I craved for things and told him – He got it,
I confused myself and ran to him – He solved it,
I suffered from pains and went to him – He cured it,
One day, I ran to his room to thank him – For
he had expelled all – But
I stood perplexed to see his cot vacant,
For then I realised

‘MY DAD HAD PASSED MONTHS AGO’

No doubt my dad is as precious and as priceless as a diamond!
