Diamonds

a poem by Jaswant Singh

None precious than one
always emitting bright shine
   Burning like a glow-worm
without fear of wind or storm,
Precious stone of pure carbon
enlighten big cities and towns
   Suits well to present things
to all friends and relative wings,
Such a gift you ever care
as it is much rare.
   Much compact and harder
   hidden under sea water,
pearl shaped or almond
among stones best is diamond.
