Forget the Head

a poem by Shah Pravinchandra Kasturchand

(This is a scene, not palatable one.
A lone and weak,
beaten by a strong, flashing inner emotions
on the above part of body, is lying on road.)

An angry face
Red in colour.
Dry eye wells
Like deep digs.
Lips and teeth,
Like leftovers,
Crushed, brushed,
Under feet.
Nostrils wide,
Inhaled lavas.
Mouth open,
Volcano out.
Forehead drawn,
Naked sword.
Neck and body,
Spheres apart.
Life above
Death below;
Former waiting
Other to swallow.
