Beneath His Wings

a poem by Benna Rao Goli

Every heart experiences a tsunami
And every one has perils around;
Weary and weak we stand, you and me
When beneath His wings we’re not found.

Remember that the night does dawn
And our discouragement keeps going on;
Troubles and sorrows do come our way
As long as we never pray.

There’ll be always a cross to carry,
Suffering, feeling of guilt and distress;
And lack of relief for who do not confess
As long as one never bends his knee.

But there’ll be joy for all who delight in God,
There’s peace for those who call upon Him;
God loves His children and hears them
And takes off troubles as He is our Lord.
