Darkness

a poem by Rao K R

It’s all dark in here
except in the silhouetted sky
where the brimming
stars explode the myth
of darkness which is
so alien to the dithyramb
of contrasts.
But a poem congeals
darkness into the metaphor
of juxtapositions
where dark is pitted
against light,
metaphor against word,
in the process of its
continuous churning
of silence
hidden under the depths
of agglutinating
waves under the sea.
