Requiem in Rain

a poem by Rushikesh Writes

Rain, mere a season,
More of a seasoning,
Dark lords sprinkle,
Like oregano,
Arousing aroma,
As it burns,
On meat topping,
Sprawled upon crust
Of mother earth.

Rain, reason to smile,
Often reasoning,
To hide under
Raincoat, umbrella
Or our own skin,
The pain.
Convincing eyes
To let go with
The down pour.
