The one who’s away

a poem by Mohammed Ismail

The first time I saw her
I was confused… Literally,
I thought my love was abused… Never,

She’s an Angel, she did it for the love to be accrued.
She’d be my friend, my dude, with love and gratitude.
I know she’s a little dumb in aptitude.
Did I Just say that… Nope… It’s Just for solitude.
She’s got a pretty smile…

To see I’d try to walk a million mile…
I’d even cross the Nile.
She’s too far…
With planes and car…
Playing a guitar…
I’d remove the scar…
Now she smiles…
With sexy style…
I’m sorry for the choice of words…
Just trying to strike the right cords…
With my style to her accords.

She’s one in a million…
Even in a billion…
Do I even mention trillion and zillions.
She’s a charmer…
It’s my duty not to harm her…
If she’s angry…
I’d calm her.

I know she’s a little mad…
I’d kill everything which makes her sad…
I want to be her lad.
Her eyes…
Contain all the galaxies of skies…
They aren’t made for her cries.
They do surprise…
Even hypnotize…
Back then, I tried a lot to apologize,
I reckon to identify them even in disguise.
To me, they’d be the best prize…
Of course, they are black ones with a big size.
