Remember

a poem by Madhusudan G Nadadur

Limbs twitch that do not exist
I wiggle my toes but the feeling persists
Walk around the garden to ease the spirit
Shades around the contours of my shadow
Blurred edges of reflection in the pond
Leaves rustling but the air is still
Echoes of whispers from a distant past
There was another I sense deep inside
Never evoked and hence expunged
How can one remember someone never known
How can one let go a hand never held
