Colours of War

a poem by Kaavyashri Rao

Violet victories veers vigorously violating violence,
Violence viciously vents vices vestiging virtues.
Indigo inches inwards, indignantly
Instructing, imbibing, instigating, insidiously.

Blue bluster brings back belligerent bunches
Battle blighters, bomb baboons, blistering boasters.
Gone great gamers, grinding grass green,
Greying grounds gasping ghastly, getting gloater’s glory.

Yellow yuppies young yellers, yelling your yarn
Yesterday yields yesteryear yells youthful yam yak yuck.
Orange omen opens organism orderly obliteration,
Once on ominously off, over ordinary obituary.
Red river runs rough, rues ravaging rage,
Rex, Raja, Republic rudely randomly reign.
