Uncried tears

a poem by Sraswathi M

Times exist when a single word,
Can be sharper than the mighty sword.
Through your heart will it pierce;
And bring to your eyes sorrowed tears.
Though your heart might forgive,
And your mind might forget.
It will burn a scar so deep,
That till the end the pain you will keep.
It will return to you,
Like friend so true.
Taunting and probing like a fire test,
Refusing to leave you happy in your quest.
In solitude making you want to cry
And leaving a scar invisible to human eye.
