Diamonds

a poem by Sarvjit Kaur

Hidden in the bosom of Earth, lies a Gem Supreme,
To own it, is every woman’s dream.
A stone so hard, a gem so pure,
Could only be called a diamond for sure.
A man can make his girl’s face glow,
When he has a diamond ring to show.
Oh! What a beauty, What a treasure!
Wearing a diamond gives such pleasure!
The best gift for any day,
A diamond will clear the lover’s way.
