Rainy Days

a poem by Sanjay Singh Parihar

Rainy days are just ahead
At my threshold
I learned nothing
From ants
My vessels are empty.

I’m sleeping
In a sound sleep
While Sun beams are shining
Over me
Through roof holes.

I spend my deposits
On my vain shows
And have no cattles
How the field be ploughed?
I don’t know.

I don’t know
Rainy days are boon or curse to me?
Everybody is happy
And welcomes it
But I’m in fear
In anxiety.

How will I survive Rainy days
I don’t know
I’m alone
I don’t have any he and she
Only two hands
Beating the head
At the place of clapping.
