Some say…

a poem by Rosie Singh

Some say love, it is a river
That drowns the tender reed
Some say love, it is a razor
That leads your soul to bleed

Some say love, it is a hunger
An endless aching need
I say love, it is a flower
And you it’s only seed

It’s a soul afraid of dreaming,
That never learns to dance
It’s a soul afraid of waking,
That never takes the chance

That’s the one, who won’t be taking
Who cannot seem to give
It’s a soul afraid of dying,
That never learns to live

When the night has been too lonely
And the road has been to long
Can you feel that love is only
For the lucky and the strong?
