Learn a Lesson from the Grass

a poem by Rachita Nemani

The wind is blowing ever so beautifully,
The butterflies are chasing each other.
The leaves are rustling whilst rubbing against each other.
The grass is dancing so rhythmically
The grass looks so carefree,
I wonder, is it as carefree as it looks?
It is firm friends with the earth,
But it also love the rain.
When the rain comes pouring down
It welcomes it, but,
Also holds on firmly to the earth.
It does not let one wash away the other.
This is what I call friendship.
It retains its friendship with the earth,
While being firm about liking the rain.
This kind of friendship is hard to find.
But even the grass is able to remain carefree.
While working hard on everything,
The grass has the most beautiful talent
The talent of friendship…
