A friend to converse
in silence
A lover to comfort

food and comforts
A goddess to the fisher folk
who ventured into the sea

But after this morning*
A devil
to be afraid of
A demon
to be away from
A killer
of the defenseless
A destroyer
of homes and hearths
A cheat
never to be trusted
