We Live in Deeds

a poem by Mohamed Nizar

Born are many a day;
so goes the death toll.
The newborn’s are fed and raised;
Dead are thought upon and forgotten.
Kids grow and take up works
Many a men does good services;
and life turns others mishaps.
Environment plays the game of fate-
and destiny takes it along.
All lead a short life; and
most stretches to deeds benefiting own selves.
Death knocks the doors eventually;
and the cycle moves on.
The watchman of the world-
Could easily quote:
“We Live In Deeds And Not In Years”
for good deeds are thought upon forever.
