Revival

a poem by Mint

Long heavy sighs, circles under the eyes
Stagnant thoughts, perished cries

Patched up wounds, flowing again
Broken links, trying to join

Blank eyes, no longer lit
Sinking heart, no one to uplift

Trembling lips, sobs on the edges
Shrunken face, ravaged feelings

She needs help, to gather grit
Don’t tempt her; don’t assist

Go; remind her of her pride and goal
Watch the lady come out of hellhole

Let her try then she will conquer
That’s the help we can offer

She is a star; she has to shine
Once she knows that, she won’t whine
