Sound of Rain…

a poem by Mint

Heavenly spray washing the roads
Birds and animals seeking abode
Showers drenching the eager trees
Buzz to reach back home by the bees
Birds unfurling sticky wet wings
Harmony and mood making you sing
Shutters opening with a snap
Curtains fluttering with a flap
Wet cloths flapping against body
Waves rushing like a hurried lady
Running feet of clouds creating thunders
Stunning flash of lightening exhibiting wonders
Hiss of burning fire in the hearth
Fuss of frogs in the murky depth
Water swishing in boots
Happiness expressed by the roots
A ‘tip’ of raindrop falling in the palm
Rustle of leaves for some more balm
The enormous sigh from the ground
Matching the relief in granny’s mind
