Inside Me

a poem by David

I was once the homeland of rage
Hatred and anger filled me to the core
Everything was worthy of being destroyed
Nothing was worth saving
Then I became the house of love
Nothing is wrong
All is well
Anything can be forgiven
Now I am the dwelling of sorrow
All that once was has been destroyed
I cry for myself and all around me
Everything can be saved… except me.
