Out Burst

a poem by Elaine E. Howie

What manner of thing is this?
To carry on with a twist
How can you have forgotten?
The love that we once sought

The tears rain down my face
I am the one disgraced
You once again say my name
I hold on to this shame

Yes I am pregnant I say
You told me it would be okay
But now I am all-alone
And you the one that’s gone

My parents have to be told
Because I am only 17 years old
I am angry my friend
I am scared of what will happen in
The End
