Life is like the whispering wind
No one knows whether it would be
The soothing spring breeze
Or the threatening gale, it’s left to see…
Whatever be it, it always does
Carry with it some seeds
Those fall in our hearts so softly
And grow into deep-rooted trees…
Every leaf is a memory so subtle
But as the breeze blows over
They all seem to tell about
Those days that have gone by…
Sometimes when life is bleak
The days are gray and cold
It would be those cherished moments
That would extend a warm hold!
It might be a smile that blossomed
When I saw the cotton clouds drift
It might the tingling curiosity
When I opened a surprise gift!
It might be the secret shared
With a childhood friend
It might be a silent tear
That slipped so suddenly…
So many things have happened
So much to happen in the future
But every moment becomes a memory
Which I will cherish and nurture…
