Creation

a poem by Nidhi Agrawal

A hollow vacuum
Around me, darkness of night,
No moon or stars.

Just a black vastness-
Nothing to balance foot on, numb.

Like a leaf, I shook, all that
Was visible,
A few claws out of that darkness.

I chiselled stars, sun and
The moon, bright as they could be.

Niche as pretty as the earth,
Smiling flowers.

Flowers I could touch,
Caress and wear,
In wet hair bathing the
Air in wild, lovely perfume.

I created a planet,
I created a joy.
I sat in this niche and
I shall create more.
